18th annual Harvest Jubilee and Wine Festival

The 18th annual Harvest Jubilee & Wine Festival will feature wines from six area wineries: Sans Soucy Vineyards, The Homeplace Vineyard, Rebec Vineyards, Tomahawk Mill Winery, Bright Meadows Farm and Vineyard and White Rock Vineyards and Winery.

The event will also feature live music from The Pete Turpin Band and The Low Low Chariot, local craft and merchandise vendors, food concessions, an adult-supervised bounce house and the annual Avoca bake sale.

Tasting tickets are $15 in advance (sold September 1-29), available at the locations listed below. Tickets on the day of the event are $20 at the gate (cash only). Non-tasting tickets are $10 for ages 12 and older, $5 for children ages 6 to 11 and free for children ages 5 and younger. No outside food or drinks or pets allowed. Online ticketing ends at 5 PM on Friday, September 29. (Tickets purchased online will be available at a Will Call table at the festival's entrance, but online ticket purchases will be confirmed via e-mail.) Advance tickets can still be purchased in person at Altavista branches of First National Bank, Altavista branch of Bank of the James, Miller's Jewelry, Airabella's, Altavista Chamber of Commerce, and Avoca Museum until 5 PM on Friday, September 29.
