A Charming Southern Victorian Wedding Venue
The Avoca Museum is a stunningly beautiful 1901 Victorian Mansion surrounded by a lavish lawn with an exquisite garden. We are nestled in the quaint town of Altavista located in central Virginia. Whether you are planning an intimate ceremony or a lavish reception Avoca will accommodate you with an affordable elegant wedding.
Your guests will love being able to tour the house and explore the gardens during your wedding day celebration. The iconic 1901 victorian mansion definitely the focal point of Avoca and brides adore getting dressed and ready for their day in the gorgeous tower room on the second floor of Avoca.
While the bride has access to the house all day, the groom and his groomsmen get ready in a cabin towards the back of the property.
Separating the cabin and the mansion is our meticulously maintained lawn. The lawn is large enough to easily host a ceremony and reception of 120 people. Inside the house, we can comfortably accommodate 40 people for a ceremony but most people choose to have a tent perched above the brick patio that can accommodate all guests.
